The Talos Fellowship has opened applications for its Autumn 2026 cohort, aimed at candidates interested in building careers in European AI policy and governance. The programme focuses on the safe and responsible deployment of advanced artificial intelligence and related technologies.

Talos Fellowship Deadline and Programme Timeline

Applications are open until Sunday, 27 April 2026 at 23:59 CET. The fellowship includes an online EU AI Policy Fundamentals programme, a Brussels policymaking summit, and an optional paid placement at a partner organisation.

The online programme runs from 12 August to 30 September 2026, followed by the Talos Summit in Brussels from 3 to 9 October 2026.

What the Talos Fellowship Includes

A paid placement phase, for selected fellows, is scheduled from October 2026 to March 2027. Placement organisations listed on the Talos website include The Future Society, OECD.AI, Centre for Future Generations, and Centre for European Policy Studies.

Who Can Apply for the Talos Fellowship

Talos says it is looking for strong communicators with a deep interest in AI and its effects on society. The fellowship is open to applicants from different academic backgrounds, with particular interest in those with experience in machine learning or public policy.
