GovAI (Governance of AI) has opened applications for its Summer Fellowship 2026 – Research Track, a three-month, paid, in-person research fellowship focused on AI governance and AI policy. The application deadline is Sunday, January 4, 2026, at 23:59 GMT.

The Research Track is designed for candidates interested in producing high-quality research and policy analysis related to advanced AI. Fellows will conduct an independent research project of their choice, supported by mentorship from leading experts, and participate in seminars, expert Q&As, and networking events.

Selection is based on quality of work, relevant expertise, sound judgement, and strong team fit.

The application process includes a written submission, an automated assessment, a paid remote work test, and a final interview.
Final decisions will be communicated in March 2026.
