Apple has announced a partnership with OpenAI to integrate ChatGPT into its iOS, iPadOS, and macOS platforms.
This integration will enable Apple users to access ChatGPT’s advanced capabilities, including image and document understanding, seamlessly within their Apple devices. Siri will also be able to tap into ChatGPT’s intelligence, providing users with accurate answers and insights without needing to switch between apps.
The partnership will also bring ChatGPT’s powerful tools to Apple’s systemwide Writing Tools, empowering users to generate high-quality content with ease. Additionally, users will be able to harness ChatGPT’s image generation capabilities to create stunning visuals in a wide range of styles.

Crucially, Apple has built in robust privacy protections to ensure user data remains safe and secure. Requests to ChatGPT will not be stored by OpenAI, and users’ IP addresses will be obscured. Users will also have the option to connect their ChatGPT account, ensuring their data preferences are respected.

The ChatGPT integration, powered by GPT-4o, will be available later this year, with users able to access it for free without creating an account. ChatGPT subscribers will also be able to connect their accounts and access premium features directly within Apple’s ecosyste
