The Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) has opened its call for submissions to the Emerging Trends in AI (ETA) Track at the upcoming AAAI-26 conference. This track is designed to spotlight fast-evolving ideas and developments that may not yet be fully recognized within the mainstream AI community.

What They’re Looking For

Unlike traditional research talks, ETA sessions focus on synthetic overviews of emerging trends, combining insights from multiple researchers, institutions, or sectors. Talks should:

  • Highlight key milestones
  • Analyze the current landscape
  • Reflect on what these developments might mean for the future of AI

The track especially welcomes voices from industry labs, startups, government R&D centers, and others working on the frontlines of real-world AI deployment. Cross-disciplinary perspectives are strongly encouraged.
